speeding ticket

here in good ole PA...i got wreckless driving and a full body/car search for doing 105 in a 45...ticket was $105, i was a minor so i had to get it signed by a parent...but they didnt have to come in...
i guess thats a good deal
god da@mn.. wish i lived there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Good luck on all that. Fu(king up is just part of growing up. It probably wont be as bad as you think as long as you dont get an attitude with your parents or the judge over any of it. Just admit you fowled up and take your punishment, parents like to threaten alot so dont fret to much.

I dont know how it works down there but here in ny ( my dad was a cop) I was able to mail mine in and i did not guilty they sent me a thing asking why etc. I filled it out then they sent me back a small fee to pay, or you can go to court with out your parents, act like they couldnt make it etc, and here in ny if the cop doesnt show up they will make you come back a second time sometimes or they will just drop the charges, but odds are if the officer doesnt come to the court that night and its just a speeding ticket they just drop it. But check into that in your area.

one other thing, i didnt read the whole thread, but there are cases were you can have the ticket dropped as well, like depending on were you were when speeding/ conditions weather etc. If there were cars next to you. If he was driving or parked etc. I know that if he was heading towards you and tried to get you and he missed you and trapped a tree or something and he was going over the limit it will show his speed not yours. So all these play factors if you really want to fight it. I have been pulled over several times, and almost never had the ticket. Go to court and talk to the da as well.

i had to go to court for going 98 in a 65 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

it's not so bad dealing with your parents over a speeding ticket. As long as they know you acknowledged it was your fault and you won't do it again. Better than getting caught with pot as a minor right? haha

Tickets in other states must be cheap cuz mine was f*cking expensive....of course once you go over 80mph in CA it's onto a new level....and then past 100 you become a pedestrian //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

dam I believe in ny its 20 or 25 over and they take your licence now. I stopped speeding once I had my daughter. But when I went to colorodo, the whole time I was ave around 100 it was nice.

I got a ticket about a month after i got my license. I was going 62 in a 45, but he dropped it to 59 so it wouldnt go on insurance, and I paid my $69 with a money order, and that was it. Parents were a little pissed, but its not a big deal. I think i got off fairly easy, especially since i was going 85ish about 2 minutes before i passed the cop.

biggest thing is dont be a jerk in court to the cop or your parents. It will only make it worse. Just be honest with them, tell them you were just keeping up with the other cars etc. Not really paying to much attention. Just traffic was moving that fast. Tell them you learned your lesson etc. and it wont happen again, or that you didnt even realize it. So many people say wow you were speeding etc. but if you ride with them and they dont speed but if you watch it you can catch them speeding with out paying attention. I got pulled over one time for speeding as I was passing a car. The cop was like way were you doing 85 in a 55. I said the person in front of me I followed for 30 minutes now and they were all over the road, hitting there breaks for no reason. Then when I went to pass them they sped right up so I couldnt. I said I am not getting into a accident for following some drunk etc. He was like, I understand but that was too fast, and I said I had no choice I Was in the other lane and if I hit my breaks for him to pass me he did the same I couldnt get over, and I just passed him a second ago and I was slowing down, the cop was cool with it and let me off on a warning.

I got a ticket once for trying to race a car on my tail and keep it from passing me by going a tad left of center on a 2 lane at night. The car ended up being a camaro, one of those black and white ones with flashing lights and a logo on the side that said "Oklahoma State Highway Patrol". It was also being driven by a trooper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I couldnt tell it was a Highway Patrolman since it was dark outside and all I could see was headlights, of course when he turned on the red and blues I knew I fu(ked up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Do not hire a lawyer. Just go there, **** up to the judge, tell him the truth. Your ticket will get dropped significantly due to it being your first infraction. It'l end up being over 100 because court fees for juvy are normally like 45. Did the cop know you were dipping (Who with a brain does that anyway). Underage tobacco can really screw you, so hopefully he didn't notice. But just don't lie, the judges aren't stupid, and as nervous as you are going to be its going to be extremely obvious.

you dont **** up to the judge, when you go into the court they ask you if you want to talk to the courts d/a the apointed attorny (for free) then you plead not guilty or somethign they will talk with you about it, then they will reduce it for you and then you plead guilty to what they give you normaly a lower speed or a no seat belt. Lots of things, one time they gave me a open container lol. But no points were on my licence from it. So go in talk to them then just pay prob wont be no more than 100

When I had to go to juvy court for a ticket I went in filled out a form, checked no contest and went and talked to the judge. I told him my story, he said learn something from it and it got brought down from a possible 450 to 45. (And that ticket really actually was bullshit)

pleading not guilty is not smart unless you have some representation which will end up costing you more when its said and done. No contest is the easiest, cheapest way to do it without admitting any guilt. Every judge I have been to in traffic courts in 5 different counties have always been willing to work with me, as they do with most people unless your just some smart *** thug.

main priority should be to keep it off your driving record.
