I'm no lawyer, attorney or police officer. But it sounds like that you don't "owe" nothing because you didn't sign the citation issued, your information is not on it and its clearly an example of bad police practice on the State Trooper's part. As said earlier, things operate different in California. If you were in CA, chances are the ticket would be dropped. Is there a possibly the "Officer" was a civilian impersonating a Police Officer?

First, find the officers name on the ticket, get a hold of him and tell him he is a moron.

Next, call any local ambulance chaser {LAWYER} and tell him your situation. I know in N.C. 15mph and over is speeding plus wreckless driving ie. they can tak your dam ride if they want to.

Most important, DO NOT PAY THE TICKET!! Local and state police have a ticket qouta to meet every 2 weeks. For the most part they isue tickets so people pay the fines and money gets pumped back into the MAN'S system. Go to court and talk to the D.A. before being heard. See if you can use a {prair for judgment} or {improper equipment ie. techometer is bad} to get that ticket dropped. I know it might only be $150 but I believe your forgetting how much your insurance is going to go up for the next 3 years. That $150 quickly turns into a $1,000.00. You realy want to pay that much for going 15 over??

just mail in the money...they got your tags so they are gonna find out if you dont pay...plus since its somone elses info on ticket maybe your insurance wont go up

The judge should drop it and suspend the officer for being a power trippin moron!
