Speeding Ticket Question

Alright folks, i know this is a long run but needing your opinion on this one.

I'm traveling on 85 south heading back to Auburn and i'm doing 85 in a 70.

State trooper pulled me over and asked for my license and i told him that i don't have it on me and so he ask for all of my information and he wrote it down on his pad.

I gave him my full name, social security number, home address and a physical description of myself.

He walks back to his car and 5 mins later he came back with the ticket. I'm not here fighting about the ticket, obviously i'm speeding and he gave me a ticket and i'm cool with that but here is the question.

The information on the ticket is all wrong.

He has the name wrong, wrong address, wrong description of me. Even the social security number don't even match up or anywhere near close.

The only correct information is the time, the description of the violoation, county, and all that stuff and the description of the car along with the address of the owner of the car.

What do i need to do about this? Because even if i wanted to pay for this ticket, to my understanding i can't do it because the ticket is not issued in my name.

Any suggestions or if you know someone that was in this similar situation, what did they do?

Oh this is in alabama by the way.

Thats what i'm gonna do, call the court but i doubt they'll have a record of it until the end of next week.

I'm posting this to see what i need to do about it to get it correct because i would hate to get someone else in trouble.

just show up with the ticket and the money and your license and they will take care of it. how much is the ticket?

its not but 155....money i don't have but i can deal with it for speeding.

Thats the problem i don't have time to go to court.

Dont do shit! Wait ~40 days if they find out it was you they will send you a order in the mail to pay the ticket. Or you can just call, give them your name and see if you have any outstanding tickets. 10-1 you wont have to pay.

Yea but then that person will have a warrant out for them because apparently he/she will miss court and all that mess.

The trooper had to be a moron, i don't know how he messed it up.

maybe your ticket got left in his car and he accidentally handed you the wrong ticket back...if so it will still get turned in

I doubt it because it has the right description of the car. And its a printed ticket so if he so happens to do that then i don't believe he should be a trooper anymore.
