But the thing is that my name is Calvin Tran and the other person is a completely American name.

i would probably just try to pay the ticket and not say anything. i don't see how they would be able to put the points on your record. sounds like a lucky break for you and a unlucky break for whoever he really wrote that ticket out to!

the other person wont get a warrant. if they did they can just prove that they were at another location when the ticket was issued

it's still your ticket with your drivers license number. just pay it and it'll clear out the ticket.

if school is needed for points it will use the ticket nu,ber on theticket. it doesn't matter if the name and addy are incorrct as long as they have your DL# it's still on you.

DL# is incorrect as well. Like i said, everything is point to her and the only thing that is associated with me is the car owner's address.

i would just wait...if they charge u...then they will send u a court summons...at which that time u can pay for the ticket or go to court...i got the same thing...just wait it out

ive seen a couple tickets get tossed out because of wrong information, just show up to court it will take about 10 minutes to walk up to the judge, say he put everything on there wrong, and he will most likely throw it out.

I don't know, but i do know that you can get out of a ticket if its written up wrong. Like if the date is wrong, it will probably just get thrown out.

kudos to you for owning up to braking the law and not blaming the cop. Im curious though, why he would ask you for your SSN?

From my understanding your a totally different person from on the ticket. So I saw **** it forget about it all.

I got an MIC when i was younger, i was drunk and tossed my wallet in an attempt to get out of a ticket because i had no id.

Well they ended up getting my name and looking up my license and writing me a ticket anyways.

However the tickets had my name but apparently it was another tim with the same name, when i went to court they threw out the ticket because it was not written correctly.

I would go up there and tell them.

I would say call and see. Or wait it out personally i have had numerous speeding tickets in mass and ct. Just for a couple mistakes on a ticket it will not make a differnce. but that is not a LITTLE mistake. X not guilty and send it in. either way if you or the other person get sent the court date in the mail it will be dismissed.

EDIT: for a speeding ticket you will be in the courthouse all of 10 mins you go in with the trooper and the DA and they read the evidence against you, you state your excuse haha and they give you their desicion
