specs for ed 12k build

i want to build a vented enclosure for the old elemental 12" k series sub. ive built sealed boxes before, but havent tried these ported ones yet. how do i know how big or long of a vent/port i need to build? on the ed site it says 2 cu ft.. but what about port length and all?

i see a lot of lay outs where the vent zig zags through the box? can someone explain that to me? is that just the port length?

I did this box for an eD 12" sub earlier this year. Sounded nice when done.

Sub was up firing, but you could do rear firing also...

go to http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html and have at it. I would recommend at least 20-25 in of port area, which is 1.5" to 2" port. Nice sub. I would LOVE to have another one, but i can't find one.

Shoot for the 1.5 cubes to 32, and i love mine in that box.
