I will say this, chances are the CDTs will NOT fit your stock location without some modification. Are you up for the challenge? If not, you may want to stick with the Alpines!

6.75" is too big for the stock location! The Alpine 6.5" is closer to 6" than it is to 6.5" and I am certain that your speaker location in your Accord is real close to the size mine is in the 97 Civic!

is 5 1/4" gonna make a big difference

the universal spacers didnt work. and they were 6.5"s. They were too small for the door.

5.25" will give you less bass than a 6.5" comp. Of course 5.25" will open up more options as to component choices for you, but again you will have to make some custom baffles to squeeze them in there. To make your baffles, pick up a couple of HDPE cutting boards from Wal-Mart and use a jigsaw or router to cut your hole and outline then slap the speakers in those doors!

You could always get something like THIS but you still need something to cut it...

I have $85.99 from sonic because I returned my Phoenix Golds. They were too deep. So Im going to order my comps off of them.Any feedback on Alpine Type Rs. Gunz4Me says they are really good.

THey need to be under 2.5 in mountin depth. They are going in my 1996 Honda Accord. Must be 6.5" speakers. I have an amp for them. Any suggestions?

you can check out the fosgate comps I have 3 pairs, 2 5.25 and a pair of 4 inch comps they pack the power quality in sound and if u shop around you'll get a good deal on them
