speakers on right side acting up

I am having problems with speakers on my whole right side of my car. When i hit a bump the speakers will randomly turn off turn down very low or crackle very bad. It also does this sometimes when i turn corners. Sometimes it works perfectly then i can tell a huge loss in sound in the whole right side sub included. I have an in dash legacy LDNTV65U dvd player. I am running 2 JL subs with a crossfire amp. The other speakers in the car are JBL 2 in door and 1 in rear for each side. I thought the problem could have been a loose wire so i redid the wires. This not fixing the problem i went and put in a new wire harness. I crimped all wires together tightly they will not come out at all. The extra ground wire for the player is connected to what appears to be part of the frame of the car.

It sometimes sound like the whole right side is blown loud cracking and distortion. Sometimes it sounds very very quiet with low cracking. Sometimes it sounds perfect loud perfectly clear.

I don't know if this helps any but sometimes i hear feedback when i step on the gas like a noisy ground loop i believe is what its called. I tried out one of those things that go on the rca cables to get rid of it but it wasn't working and noise wasn't able to be heard when bass is going so i took it off.

Any advice would be appreciated.

oh ya its a 99 Toyota Solara

i had the same problem on my car ( 04 corolla ). how old is you player?

i checked all the wires just like you did, even directing the speaker ( 6 1/2 ) but still sound like shit. well the problem was my player, i dont know why but it was. so i bought a new player & everything was better. Oh i had to change out the speaker because it as blown.

just to let you know if those speakers are not hooked to an amp then it wont be the rca. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I will try switching the rca around today. If it could be loose wiring what wires would do 1 whole side of car?

player is prob 6 months old.

does not matter what rca is plugged in.If it was the HU wouldn't it just not work ever instead of perfect 50% of the time?
Considering Legacy is one of the absolute worst quality brands out there, its a good chance that the deck is messed up. You get what you pay for.

But you can try switching the speaker wires from left to right to see if the problem changes. If it doesn't change sides, then its probably a speaker/wire issue. If it does change sides after you rewire it, then the deck is probably crap.

If i am forced to buy a new dvd player for my car. I am not rich so have to get something cheap. Is there any cheap brand other then legacy. I dont know much about quality HU. What is the best cheaper brands any advice?

was looking at this model like i said i got no clue on whats good and junk

BOSS AUDIO BV8965B 7” DVD IN-DASH RECEIVER

Don't go with Boss. Apparently everyone hates Boss. I have an Alpine CDA-9883 CD player you could buy, but how important is getting an in-dash 7" screen to you?

the main importance is a screen 5 inches or bigger.

Prefer usb support.

Must play dvds would like also vcd but isnt a big demand

then again if the price is really really cheap i might be interested.

I'd sell my stereo for like 130. But would you be willing to go with a DVD playing head-unit and a roof-mount screen? Might be cheaper and you'd get a bigger screen too.

i dont think i could fit a screen where i wanted on roof because i have a sunroof and in the middle the only place in front it could go i have built in garage door opener.
