Speakers in RX-8

Well, as some of you know, I got a brand new Mazda RX-8 and I am selling my system out of my Blazer because I don't think I'm going to add a system to the RX-8, however, the one thing I think needs to go are the Bose speakers. In my blazer I have Kicker Resolution RS6's powered off a US Acoustic USX2080 amp and I would either like the a) find a better set of components and install them with the amp or b) keep the amp and components and install them in the 8. Either way, I think I'm going to let a shop install them because it's a brand new car and I do not want to damage it. What are your thoughts? If you think I could find a better set of components, let me know. Not looking to spend > $200, and just to tell you, I absolutly LOVE my Kicker Resolutions and they are Braxial mounted in my Blazer, however, if I do get a new set of speakers, I will need something with some bass since I won't be adding a sub....well, until later on.

This is not a simple upgrade in this vehicle. The rear mounted Bose amp drives the rear speakers and the front tweeters. The front mids take a signal from these tweeters and amplify the signal again with the amp mounted in each front door. It is a real PITA to work on. Best move you can make is strip the thing and start from scratch. The Bose speakers in the RX8 are for the most part matched to the amp and the front speakers are about 8.25" wide for that matter. No matter which way you turn, a upgrade is not a simple option in this vehicle.

Give it a few weeks you'll want a system... I said that when I got my 05 Altima and then I changed my mind.

As for those Bose sound systems, good luck getting around everything without taking it all out.

i've heard the 6.5 resolutions...they were the best on the wall...there were pioneer revs, kenwood dual mags(?), mid series jl's, cheaper kickers, and a couple others..not saying there the best but they by no means are worth gettin rid of....

though its alwaays nice to get new equipment
