Speakers cutting out

Hey I just bought an Alipine amp, 750watts and two 10" subs. MTX something I posted a link to the exact speakers I bought.

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10085244&catid=11051&logon=&langid=EN

I hooked them up but once I get to a certain volume level the speakers both kick out. But then kick back on and kick out on and off.

And I am not loud at all. I am not even past how loud my old 75watt amp went.

If I keep the volume lower the subs wrk fine. Unless a really loud beat hits.

Umm, only things I can think of that may be causing this is, my wiring is the same wiring that was hooked up to the 75 watt amp. Also, it is not directly hooked up to the battery... Could either of those be the problem.

So are you saying that, to small of a gauge of wire and not being directly to the battery could cause my problem?

I am really at a loss for this.

Yes because the current wire that you are using is most likely unable to handle the current.
this. u need to have big enough wire to carry enough current

rule of thumb to go by

0-500 = 8 gauge power/ground

500-1000= 4 gauge power/ground

1000 and up = 1/0 wire power/ground

So the speakers stop working because the loud volume requires more power and the small wire I have is not able to carry it...? It's not super small it's like 10 maybe... Also, how big does the Control wire need to be?

I think my ground is good. I did not change any of the wiring methods.. I just switched the amp and speakers. And yeah, I meant the blue wire... It is like 12 gauge on mine.

What does the ground wire have to do with it?
