Electrical set-up for approx 1300wrms..

Im wanting to run 1300wrms in my car, and at the moment it has a 70 amp alt, And a Redtop that im absolutly fed up with [Currently at autozone, charging.].

I have a spot for another alt. So i was thinking about going to a buddy's junk yard, and picking up another big case GM alt. If i get say a 100 amp alt, Will it cause problem's with my 70a alt?

Also, Since im fed up with Optima right now, And have space (Under hood.), Is it possible to run two regular car battery's? I can get them for $10 a peice. I was thinking just try to find two that match up nicley.

Ive also got the option to go get an optima "blem" from a local battery shop for $75 (Maybe they have Odysse blems? they are a dealer.). Friends had better luck with that battery then i have with my new one, And my warranty is up threw autozone, i believe. Only way id go this route, Would be if the warranty my batt.

Theres a place that sells Kinetic, But they tried charging me $500 for a 12" L7.

I had 1/0 Big 3, and redtop, And i was dipping into low 12's / high 11's with just a zx750.1 and a 4ch amp. Even lower with my 1200D.

If i could "get by" with a $30 alt, and two $10 battery's, I'd be able to afford it faster. But if i gotta go buying new batt's, Its gonna take a while.

Some truth to that when it comes to alts...

my stock "130A" alt was putting out over 120amp at idle (600rpm) and my "300A" O.G. alt only puts out about 100A at the same engine speed... however take it up to 2K RPM and the O.G. blows the stocker away quicker than Ekimdude blows RE_XXX after a couple Zimas...

 
Id assume that with two alt's, Id get more amp's at idel? Im not even stuck on using the 70a alt, But i believe i can get two Big case GM alt's, Plus my A/C pump on my motor. What kinda car had big(ish) Big case GM alts?

And would two decent sized regular car battery's be that much worse then GelCell batt's?

It'd be a very cheap temp set-up, Untill i can afford to drop $500 on some nice batt's.

Also, You cant mix Sealed and regular batt's, Correct? I was thinking maybe a few stinger SPV70's or small Kinetic's in the trunk near the amp.

With the minimal draw im pulling, I should have problem's with my batt's under the hood (Away from amp's) should i?

And Infamous, I already made it clear i wouldnt buy from you, Plus optima's on my shit list as well. So no thanks.

 
Thanks Capt obvious. I know this, Hence the secondary alt, Possibly replacing the 70a, And spare batt. However, I need to know:

- if i have to match the amperage on the alt's

- if two regular automotive battery's will hold me over til i can afford to spend some money.

- And if my two smaller alt's, would put out more then a single bigger alt.

I simply cannot afford a HO alt right now, And if i can get more power from the room i have available, Id like to use it considering i could find an alt for next to nothing, As well as regular bat's, And "blem" optima's.

 
I picked my optima up tonight. guess it was alright just drained.

While i was up at autozone, i noticed some Duralast Marine batterys that had 115ah, and were in the $80 range. I was thinking about buying two, And putting them under the hood, And selling my optima. What do you think?

Edit: Plus adding another alt [if i have to match amperages, Ill get another one for my car. If i dont, Ill go with something bigger. If i do not link them via a jumper cable, Will they fight eachother? The pos from both alts would go to the batt. NOT the other alt.]

I need to know the answer to these, So i can spend some money on sunday.

If i can go with a 140a, or something, plus my stock 70a, Later i would upgrade the 70a to another 140a. BUT im wondering what these would both put out at idel? I know itd help me tons more then my current setup.
