Speakers and power.

I tried using the search but didn't really come up with anything.

I'm looking to get a set of components soon. Not really sure what brand yet. Looking at rainbow and boston.

I have decided pretty much on an amp: Zed Audio Deuce which does about 245 x 2 at 4ohm.

My question is this: Suppose I went with the Rainbow SLC's that have a peak power handling of 150. Would the Deuce give it too much power? Would it damage them? I'm pretty new to all this car audio stuff so any help would be appreciated.

You should be okay as long as you are very careful with the gain settings on that amp.

Why not consider ahigher level of components that you KNOW for a fact will handle it

Looks at maybe some Z6's or some CDT HD's if you'd rather go that route

IF you got a budget of 500, why not step up to the germanium line of Rainbows? I believe they can be had for 450$. They would love the power, im sure of it.

Can you recommend somewhere to buy them from? I've been having a hard time getting ahold of the dealer on this board.
