So i was drivin around one day and the music cut out and the speaker started whining. And ever since if i turn it up to loud, it'll cut out and whine. and i turn radio off and wait 3 minutes and it'll work again

whats the problem? lol

nothing came lose from amp.

I think your music system have some problem it cause they are not working well. I think you should prefer new music system with new feature ,if you desirous to buy you have also other option also here you can repair also your old music system.
