Speaker Whine.

It might be your 860 as they are notorious for noise problems. I would switch out the 860 and see if the whine goes away.
if you read a few posts up, it is not his headunit.

Your amp might also be damaged.

 
I'd say try finding a different ground. I would think the seatbelt bolt would work, but try a new location to eliminate that problem.
That's what I would do first. Good grounding spot, sanded down to bare metal, blah blah blah.

As for crossover points, like said, set it to what sounds best to you...

 
hmm i dunno if you recall but i had the same problem. i asked this question over at ECA and the poster named abmolech had some real technical shiet. check out the thread, http://forum.elitecaraudio.com/showthread.php?threadid=124022. maybe that can you give some ideas or you post on that thread and he'll help you out.
as for my situation, i just set my gains correctly with a DMM and alternator whine is gone!
yeah, in your case it was just too much high of a gain.

 
I had an old school amp that would wine no matter what, but when I grounded the actual chasis of the amp itself too, it got better. Might be something to try.
