Speaker Upgrade

I am running Polk momo's as my fronts right now there components. But I want to upgrade I have heard good things about focals, rainbows, and DLS. My price range is 500 dollars but don't need to spend it all. The speakers will be getting 180 watts of clean power. Also I have been use to 2 ways and I know its a lot of work to install 3 way sets but I think it would be worth it but also have been told there a pain to setup. Open to suggestions.

I would personally invest in some Morels, take a look on woofersetc.com or sonic-electronix.com (I think they sell morel). ID makes some nice components as well

Morel, Image Dynamics, or Rainbow, Hertz too I hear, but I also hear a lot of people complaining about them underachieving (could just be poorly installed though)

Hertz HKS 165 or DLS UP6i are bang for the buck within your price range

Really good Focal and Rainbow line are a bit out of your budget .I would stick with 2 way unless you are ready to pay more $$$ and time for gears and tuning ,and they don't always sound better .

if you didn't get anything yet, i just got some focals 5.25 comps in my car and i love them. they're probably some of the best 5.25 components i've heard...none of my buddies have really high end stuff though. i've also heard great things about morels, image dynamics, and hertz. i haven't heard them in person, but i've heard good things about them. check out woofersect.com because they've got some pretty good prices and i would like to think they're authorized dealers for almost everything they carry...although i could very well be wrong about that. check 'em out anyways though. they're reasonable.

My hertz coax's sound great, but the mids can't take too much power before they bottom out. Could just be because they're coax...
