just picked up my new box for the L7's, thing looks fantastic.

Anyways, the shop didn't put terminals on it, because he doesn't like using the flimsy spade hookups on the insides of the terminal.

I've never had a box without terminals before, should i get terminals? Or just cut appropriate sized holes and run 8ga. directly into the box?

Anyone on here NOT use terminals?

i am sure that you could not run terminal if you cut some tight holes and sealed em with silicone.. personally i always use terminals.. just for the ease if you ever need to disconnect something.. and for the price and time it takes to put them in.. i think its worth it

ok, 1/4 bit, 8 ga. directly in.

sounds groovy

wont work on it till after work, but i've gotta have a full mental schematic of what everything's going to look like before i touch anything.

helps me stay on track

I understand the full mental schematic when doing things in your car. My wife thought I was crazy when she came home, and in her spot in the garage I had all the wiring laying for my install in her spot, laid out just like i planned to run it in my car. You wouldn't believe how much time it saves looking for this wire or this terminal. Oh, btw, I support the drill the hole in the box method also.
