speaker spacers

my speaker spacers broke! i had a pair of mdf spacer for my alpine type r's which requred alot of space (2 3/4). dose any one own or know any thing about plastic spacers>? which would be beter cuz my mids weigh 4lbs each.

Stick with MDF for your spacers.

Coat them with some resin next time

MDF should be fine, the front baffle on a subbox is MDF, which supports over 50lbs... 4 is a cakewalk.

a spacer is a spacer. its a peace of mdf or plastic in the shpe of a ring or your kinda speaker to add space in beteen so you have enough clearance for after market speakers.

i dont really know...but i think it gives more depth for a speaker in a panel...
