speaker smell

Alright well i got 6.5 boston acoustics comps in the front and infinity kappa 5x7 coaxial in the back. The bostons are rated 80watts rms and the infinties are 90watts rms. So i was listening to speakerboxx by outkast today. Turned it up pretty loud noticed that the back speakers were smelling REAL bad. And i dont see how i could have been overpowering them casue the bostons are 10 watts rms lessand were doing fine. Plus i have the gains set lower on the back speakers as well. But it smelt REAL bad but this is the second set i have had where the rears smell. Could it possibly be the speaker wire? i got some real cheap brand from walmart and tears extremely easily

hmmmm.... they either can't take the power or they are being sent clipped power.

it's that easy really.
