Speaker rings

How the hell do you make those speaker rings for like fiberglass enclosers where the speaker sits flush in the ring? im about to go get a router tomoorow

You can either use one ring and cut the recess in it for flush mounting . Or you can cut to rings . One for the driver to mount to , and one to go around the driver to create the recessed look . option 2 is far easier than option 1 in my experience.

thanks, how do they get that outer ring so thin without breaking it.

any tips or tricks for the router use? or just play with it. also any bits that I might need?
