Speaker problem

Hey guys, i have a question/problem here.... I just installed my front speakers/amp and am somewhat dissapointed. I have these speakers http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/item.pl?sku=MBQDKC108&vq_id=none and this amp, http://www.recommendedbuys.co.uk/electronics/amplifiers/alpine-mrpt130.htm and i turned the bass boost off and HPF on of course and i can only turn the gain like no more than halfway before the speakers make like a popping sound, and at this level they arent really that loud... is there any way to make them louder? and also could it be my deck? i have a pioneer deh 1400 i think its the lowest pioneer model and i also have the amp connected to another amps output rca's, thats about all the details i can think of... someone help, lol

the popping also happens when i turn the volume way up....

do not use your gain as a volume, the gain is meant to set the voltage of the RCA inputs, not to turn up the volume. Fine out the voltage of your RCA outputs, set the gain to that, then use the volume on your head unit.

does it pop with the gains all the way down and volume up?

no, it doesnt, only when the gain is up more than halfway.... and if im supposed to match the gain to the rca outputs from my HU then how am i supposed to make this louder?
