So I am installing a pair of boston pros...and i have some questions.

My doors are already deadened and I am wondering if installing the mids with a baffle makes a big difference? I am assuming it helps with the midbass response? And what size should i go with?

Another question....I have a alpine cda 9853...does this have the processing power for me to run an active set up? my amp is pushing ~100 x 4@ 3 ohm

Thanks for any input

basically, if the headunit has the xover, just switch it to 3-way mode, read the manual on how to do that, then set the xover points, and run rcas from headunit to amps, you'd need a 4 channel amp, or 2 2chanel amps. active basically separates the signal before amplification, so you'd need one channel per speaker, 2 mids + 2 tweets = 4 channels. find out what xover points u should use, set em, then run wire and that should be it

i remember calling my local store about going active...and he said the CDA 9853 doesnt have 3 way and it was only on the 9855...is he bullshitting me?

I don't have access to my manual right now....
