Speaker high pitched whine.

Before I explain the problem I will give you the layout of my system:

So I've had this sound system for about two months now. No problems at all except this one time when the front speakers stopped working. What I did was take out the front speaker wires from the amp and put them back in again. Today it happened again and when I went to fix it I accidentally took out the negative wire from them amp. So I put it back in and now all the speakers are giving out a constant high pitched sound. When I turn the keys to start the car you can hear the engine through the speakers. I saw the sticky thread about this problem but why would this happen all of a sudden?

Any ideas are welcome.

No idea, sometimes it just happens. Are the RCAs run on the same side as your power wire?

Who knows, maybe your RCAs were bad from the get-go and they were just positioned perfectly so that there was no issues. It is almost impossible to know.

Something vibrated, shook, and or shifted into a worse position and is causing you the noise interference.

give the amp a whack and see what happens. what kind of gear are you running?

How many channels does your amp have, and is it bridgeable? If it has multiple channels, you might be able to bridge it and use the negative terminal on the other channel.
