Speaker Going In and Out?

Right now i have a older headunit that the shop gave me to use for when my pioneer headunit gets out of the shop. The problem i'm having is the right side speakers back and front keep going in and out. One moment theres sound next there silent. I notice it happens more when there at higher levels. All 4 speakers are powered by my headunit. There brand new speakers so they can't be blown and it wouldn't just blow the right speakers. I checked the wiring behind my headunit and everything seems to be fine i had it playing while i messed with the wires and i didn't make a difference in the speakers. Could the problem i'm having be from the old headunit? The right side speakers seem to go out also when there is a loud bass hit. The right side speakers are off more then there on also. They seem to stay on when at low volume levels but when jacked up the go in and out. Can somebody help me with this. I never had this problem with my pioneer headunit so.

Chances are, there is a ground loose somewhere. Either inside of the head unit itself, or somewhere along the speaker leads. Since this didn't happen with your head unit, I'm thinking the problem is in the loaner. I would ask the shop if they have another unit they could let you test to see if that is the case.

could be your speakers being overpowered...i used to have sony x-plod 6x9s in my truck and every time there was a big bass hit they'd screach and seize...i'd have to turn the HU off and back on for them to work again. dont buy sony speakers. lol.

Speakers are not overpowered a 40x4 headunit is powering them there WAY underpowered
