Speaker Amp choice help

I made a post but I have no clue and what I really want or need. To start I want to replace my 20+ year old 12"subs,. And I want to add some 2-way 6x9". I will be tapping into existing door speaker wire for signal to a line out converter.

Question 1. Should I be saving money?? and using my existing 2 Channel Amp, 2ch LOC for the 6x9's, and then buy a new loc and amp for the 12"s
Question 2. If you just had free reign to pick new parts... what would you buy? I think I want 300RMS 12"sub 100 RMS 6x9.. is that a lot of power!?
So let Christmas come early and I'll buy it all.

Please someone just tell me what I will like.

I went with 80 RMS nominal power 6 x 8 speakers, with 300 RMS peak. I went with 400 RMS subs with 800 RMS peak. I like my music loud, but turning my volume up to halfway makes the windows vibrate. Unless you want to wake up the neighborhood, you should be fine with your plan.
