Today I drove my '89 chevy standard cab truck over to hunterw's place and did a little testing for an upcoming USACi show. Amp is an AQ2200, subs are DD2510s, group 31 under the hood and a batcap 800 in back.

The truck:

We started out by cleaning it up a little. This poor truck hasn't been cleaned for over a year.

I built as versatile of a box as I could dream up. It is 2 pieces, can fit with subs on either side, and had an interchangeable port end on it. It was just a touch over 2cuft. Here's a pic with the subs on the passenger side and the about-to-be-installed 2x 4" flared ports(tuned to 40hz):

A pic of the box facing the other way with 3x 4" pvc ports(tuned to 40hz):

We started the day in the high 130s. This was in the kick at 51hz. My rear view mirror fell off on this one:

We were at it again this evening...

I modified my box that got me to 145.5. It was brought down to 1.7cuft @ 46hz. First burp of the night was a 145.6. We tinkered with it for a little and got it up to a 146.4.

Then came the new box....

Same truck - '89 Chevy reg cab

Same subs - (2) DD2510s

Same amp - AQ2200

New box - 1.6cuft @ 46hz, 42sqin of slot port, a little bit of duct tape.

New score - @51hz

I'm going to get one more box built before the show on the 29th. I'm thinking a little more port and duct tape wouldn't hurt.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
