soundstream 2 channel amps

I think zfactor actually sells some SS, so he can give you a more indepth answer. But from what I have read most of the newer stuff is sub par. My VGA1600 completely shut off and my VGA600 has a blown right channel. I don't think they ever got it right after the buy out. They are still trying to figure it out. They are just decent amps as far as I'm concerned but if you push them they seem to go to crap. Cheap internal products probably have something to do with it.

where can i find some of the older ones? does that mean the xxx series of SS amps are bad too? i just prefer to run all SS amps
i got some o.g. reference amps for sale, 1000sx, 1000s,also got a 700s,300s and a usa 180 but itll take more to those off my hands, also got a bnib picasso 4 channel and a lightly used picasso 2 channel. also for the right price u can have my 2500d and my xtant 1001dx............I've bought, tested and sold alot of the new soundstream products without any problems, half my neighborhood has soundstream that was bought from me and not one amp, woofer, or speaker has blown so far..........................i like the o\s reference stuff the best......i dont know about you, but i like an amp thats stable at a half ohm to power all my 4,3, and 2 ohm speakers....reference= no worries

I have a Reference 604. Drops to 1/2 ohm. I was selling it and the guy backed out on me.

Is that a Rubicon Picasso bnib?
rubicon picasso? the soundstream picasso i got is bnib...never seen power. my interiors dont like 2 ohm stable amps. i should just get some interiors that are all 4ohm and get rid of of a set in the front. but why, i got reference power and drive stages.....dam actually the picasso is the pic series, not the o\s chrome class a ones..i think thats what you meant. didnt mean to get you all excited. i wish i had 1 though bnib...... why do they have to continue a line(in name) for over 10 years? it confuses people.

Yeah SS made a Rubicon Picasso class A all chrome, well ****, come to think about I did get a little excited.

yea sorry to misrepresent like that, but thats also why i guess you asked. i knew they made a chrome picasso, 4 channel, class a, that did like 25x4 but i didnt know it was from the rubicon line.. plus if i did have 1 bnib i would never get what i thought it was worth and how would i prove it to ya without you making me taking it out the box

I owend an original Rubicon 203 2000 2 channel amp that pushed my SS EG15-X tuned to 33hz and it almost broke a 140db. That means oldschool 300 true watts running new school Soundstream EG15-X hitting almost 140. Quite impressive.

On another note I sold the rubi 302 and bought a Orion 1200d and that amp smoked my sub yesterday

Sub was rated at 400rms and 800max and I gave it around 600w. A very strange thing was all yesterday I ran this sub and no worries but then this day I get in the car and not even a minute goes by it was up in smoke. Thank god for the warranty. They will exange the new PCS Picosso subwoofer for my EG15_X.
