Soundigital 8k Tuning Problem

Enough is enough...

Ekimdude, you have been ridin his nuts a lot, just stop dude. We all know he's a dueche, just ingnore him like the rest of us do.

SicAudio, you do seem to talk shit about everyones amps and subs, you refer everyone to any maxxsonics product...please stop its getting old. Not everyone likes maxxsonics...

This is coming from the outside looking in. Now can we just help this dude with his amp issues instead of bitching like high school girls!?

Sounds like the amp is fucked up to me...
How would it be the amp though? What i did, we literally did spend 3 hours tinkering with it though, i did not realize it until i had to call into my work and tell them i'll be an hour late lol. But i tried literally everything i could with the amplifier, I set everything wide open. Set the lpf at whatever thousand, and high pass the lowest possible, i assume 15, and then used the controls from the maxxlink. The week before, i had tried everything with the soundigital itself with no good results. Only way to block the voices without the maxxlink would be from the headunits low pass filter. Only thing i thought could be wrong would be the filtering, but thats why i asked him to pick up that maxxlink, plus to make other things easier not to mention the bassknob with clipping indicator. I was assuming that it being a full range amp, it was getting higher frequencys and throwing the sub off completely, but with the maxxlink plus the headunit low pass, i'm not sure anymore at all. I'm giving him hell not to send it in, until we KNOW somethings wrong, because i could definitely see them not being able to recreate our results. I really think its something we're doing wrong, even though we're tried **** near everything thinkable. The maxxlink did help the sound though, the extra filters, just doesnt sound good at all right now, and i really don't think it's a damaged amp, i really was just assuming theres some sort of trick or normal different way of tuning these.

not trying to sell anything

op contact this guy he will let you know if the amp is bad or not

By counterclock-wise and clock-wise, you meant just turning the filters as off as we can on the amp, correct? If so, that's what i said in my last post, tried it. Used the head units low pass as well, and even cranked it on the maxxlink, and did notice more power but still no sound improvement.

I cant help you there, I've never had any experience with a soundigital amp b4. All I can think of is it might be your RCA's. Or you may have your subs out of phase. Just a thought...

EDIT: If you're positive there's nothing that you're doing wrong, then you gotta ship that bad boy in to get tested.

The crossover of the SD8000.1D has 2 different controls, the subsonic

filter and the LP filter. The subsonic filter is adjustable (20 Hz up to 50 Hz) and it

removes the frequencies below the set value. The LP filter (adjustable between 80

Hz and 8 Khz) removes all the frequencies above the set value .SLOPE: 12 dB/8ª.
