Sound Storm

I owned a Soundstorm amp a while back. If you're ok with the Boss brand, you'll be ok with Soundstorm. Yeah, it's entry level but reliable as any other brand if not pushed beyond it's limits.

I've used sound storm. It blows. I had a amp rated at 1600, and i got a kenwood 1000w and it hit WAY harder than my sound storm, and much much more clearer. Get a name brand amp. They're usually always better.

Anyone ever use one of there amps? Will they do rated? I was looking at this one SoundStorm EV5000D.

As usual with Soundstorm and brands like them the amp appears to be extremely over-rated.

The only rms rating provided in the manual is 1800w at 4 ohms, although some retail sites list 2500w at 2 ohms.

The amp is supposed to be used with a 175A external fuse. Logically, that leads one to believe the amp is not capable of much more than 1800w rms. The manual states 1 ohm stability so it's a pretty safe assumption the most power would come at 1 ohm.

The 2500+ rating is pure BS, and the ridiculous max ratings are even worse.
