I think I have decided on a sub, and this is the one. Just a few questions that I have about it. What is "better", or it doesn't matter it just depends on what amp you have, D2 or D4? I have no amp..so that is why I am wondering. I think I want a sealed enclosure since this will be in the extended cab of a truck..but what size do you think? And just what do you think about the sub overall? Thanks alot.

If u only get one sub then get dual 2 because then u can wire the sub down to 1 ohm. But if u plan on later getting another RL-P then get dual 4 since u can wire those down to 2 ohms

just depends on what amp you have. its cheaper usually to get more power at lower ohm loads, but higher ohm loads usually run cooler.

So what could I do with that and a Hifonics BXi 606?

If u only get one sub then get dual 2 because then u can wire the sub down to 1 ohm. But if u plan on later getting another RL-P then get dual 4 since u can wire those down to 2 ohms

Each will be wired to 2 so with two dual 4-ohm subs it would be 1 or 4 ohm. If you have an amp that is only two ohm stable, go with the 2 ohm, and for now you could do 4 ohm until you get a second one and then wire back to two.

Well, no I don't have that amp. But why wouldn't it power it well? I just liked that amp because it is only $175. And can you show me that thread that "tRiGgEr" posted in, in your sig? Seems like it would be a good laugh .

There's cheaper stuff to be had for better. On etronics, I hooked my friend up with a power acoustik 1800d (I think that's it) that supposedly does 1400 at one ohm. Not sure if that's true, but it pushes both his 12 type r d2s to full excursion while crushing your balls.

someone built a box and the hole cutout was fine, just kinda jagged, cant remember what thread it was from but its pretty recent.

grab up the d2, will be easier to find an amp that does the power you need at 1 or 4 ohms
