Sound Processor Question

Hello All,

Long time reader first time poster. It takes me awhile to come to decisions when buying electronics. I typically spend months researching and reading various posts and forums. My question really relates to if I am heading in the right direction based on all the information I've gathered. I want to upgrade my stock system which is the premium infinity with 7 channel DSP amp/processor stock with nav, head unit ect. I am unhappy with the lack of control I have on adjusting and or tweaking sound. At first I was just going to add another amp and sub due to lackluster bass. But in the back of my mind I knew I wanted to replace the stock speakers as well. With that in mind the first step forward would be replacing the stock dsp amplifier with a different processor and then gradually over time add additional components. Is it reasonable to think I can simply change out my stock and drop in a JBL MS-8 as a replacement? Then over time add speakers, amp and different sub?

Any thoughts or suggestions are most welcome. Thanks for your time.

You'll want to leave the Infinity amplifier in and tap the speaker outputs to get the signals into MS-8. Yes, MS-8 would be a fine first upgrade.

Well that makes it easier. So transfer the speaker wiring from stock amp to ms8? Leave stock amp in.
