All i need is some 40^2 ft of deadner. i bout the 60^2 ft of raammat for the doors and for the back dash. Now i just need some inexpenisve non smelling stuff for the trunk. In my quest i found this:

its so dirt cheap. Has anyone had experience with it? i dont need awesome awesome performance, just so my trunk lid dont rattle. comments on it?

That's not cheap at all, actually.

Raammat, for example, you get 62.5sqft for ~$99+shipping, so we'll say $115 shipped. That's ~$1.84 per square foot.

That mat you linked to on PE is only about .9sqft and costs $2.98 each, plus shipping (which, even on the smallest order of nothing but a few connectors I've never had PE charge me less than $6 for shipping). That's almost double the price of Raammat. And per square foot costs close to as much as SecondSkin Damplifier Pro.

62.5sqft of that PE stuff would cost ~$206.93 + shipping.

40sqft would cost ~$132.5+shipping.

You'd be better off just buying another roll of Raammat and getting more high quality mat for cheaper.

That is, unless, more than one sheet comes for that price. But all I see in the literature on the page is " 10" x 13" Sheet "

I have used the partsexress stuff. It is worthless. It sticks and all but doesn't damped. raamat is much much better.

Shoulda taken the time to do it before my post.

If money is the real issue, you're probably better off just makin' a post on the ECA For Sale section with title "WTB: RAAMmat" and I'm sure there will be a few folks who have some extra lyin' around that they no longer need.

i would but some Edead for the floors of the trunk and then raamat or 2nd skin for the sides and trunk lid. Edead V1 is good for the trunk and is 1$ per sq.ft. I thin they redid there other deadners to be buytl instead of asphalt so the v1se might be good for the sides and trunk lid.

for square foot you take L x W, if the L & W are in feet.

In the case of that PE deadener, they gave it to you in inches instead of feet (10" x 13"). So, you take (10*13)/144 = .9sqft. You divide by 144 because that's one square foot in inches, 12" x 12".
