Thanks Jeff, I think I'm sold on stinger road kill expert. I have read 0 complaints about it and it's priced fairly. Do you think a roller is necessary? I've never installed this type of stuff

I'm looking to start dampening, mostly for road noise, how much is recommended? the instructions say 30% but all the vids I've seen do pretty much 100% of the area? so is more better or wasteful

There is a point where it's wasted. Where it is will vary. Large surface areas first and for road noise use mlv

Do not get GTMat, it was horrible and does not stick well, I did the 50mil, not sure how the 80mil, but it was not butyl

ok, through my search, found that theres Resonance dampening and sound absorption, the MLV stuff seems non stick so it would be absorbing, does it work as good as the sticky stuff? looks the same as the dynomat stuff. The way i understood it one muffs the sound and the other creates a barrier.. i should go with knu on panels and the mat on the floor?

Mass loaded vinyl is much better for road noise. Use with 3m 90 adhesive spray. Home depot has db-3 MLV-like barrier for pretty cheap.
