Where abouts should i put sound deadener iin my trunk, the trunk lid is obvious but besides that where?

Flat surfaces.

If you have enough, I would deaden the whole trunk, wheel well, sides etc.

Yep, any flat surface benefits from deadening.

I want to try spot CLD tiles instead of massive covering. In my experience, the **** falls off the trunk lid in about 5 - 7 years and ruins whatever it falls on.
