Sound Deadening question

I plan to work on all four doors and the trunk for my first sound deadening install.

I was thinking of going with tiles for damping, such as SDS or SS. Mass loaded vinyl seems a bit much though. Would a layer or two of closed cell foam be worth it? Or is most of the benefit in providing spacer for the MLV?

closed cell is more for panel on panel contact.. to stop it

i would definitely go for the MLV over 2 layers of ccf
