sound deadening question

I noticed in another thread whre they were putimg egg crate type foam along with dynamat to sound deaden a car door. I have already dynamated my car. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to doo the whole car with this foam also.

The mat or liquid deadener is designed to add mass to a surface to help reduce vibration/resonance on or between the surfaces. The egg crate foam or any similar open/closed cell foam is for absorbing or breaking up sound waves. Typically the foams are used for reducing road noise, wind noise, engine noise, exhaust noise, and the liking.
