I'm looking for a pretty high level of SQ, but nothing close to extreme.
I'm thinking about just using 80 sq. ft. of Damplifier Pro and not bothering with overkill (closed cell foam). Install for my STI doors and trunk and wheel wells only. Then I don't have to mess with a glue can and the extra expense for the foam. Put my money into the best deadening matt only (the Pro is thick stuff), which is supposedly 60% of the potential noise reduction.
Anyone think this is a mistake and I should add closed cell foam? I'm not real convinced the foam makes a big difference. Or should I at least just put foam behind the speakers in the doors?
I'd like to get it all done at once instead of doing the mat and then deciding if I should do foam or not. Although that is another option.
