Sound Deadener

SecondSkin sells the best deadening mat on the market, bar none. Raamat sells the best bang-for-your-buck mat on the market, bar none. Both sell butyl rubber based mats... whatever you do, do NOT settle for an asphalt based product. And as cheap as they are, Id stay away from eD deadening products as well. Actually, I wouldn't touch eDead, in any form, with a 10 foot pole. But people call me bitter.

whats wrong with e-dead,im still trying to figure that out.
My edead is still sticking ok after a year, surfaces were cleaned before applying.

I guess the only concern with the the newer butyl edead is if the mylar layer in place of the aluminum layer will lessen it's deadening ability. Edead V1^2 is thin but you can double it up and still be less per mil sq ft than the others.

its all up to you, what i did was bought a little of everything out there,i have some second skin in my rear doors, raamat in my rear gate, and the rest i just used the e-dead.i cant tell he difference from any of it,just the fact that i tripled layered the e-dead.

btw I just measured the edead V1^2 I bought last year, it's about 35 mils thick, not the 45 as advertised (without the paper). I guess they all inflate this spec some, this is a bit much though.
