Everything I have seen about Dons product makes it look like a great product.

Very well thought out. Everyone says his customer service is top notch too.

I have used plenty of brands out there, too bad alot of the so called "budget" brands didnt perform like I would have hoped. Personally, Second Skin is now my brand of choice. Good product, the best customer service out there AND performance to boot. I think audioholic has something against SS. I'm pretty sure I saw him talking about it in another thread, but I'll be ****ed if I can find it. Either way, SDS and SS are good products. Can't go wrong with either!

I've used them all in may ways and the SDS tiles are the best for several reasons. But the TRUE "best" damping product is the one that's right for the job. CLD mat is not a cure-all IME/IMO.

To me, foil is foil is foil...as long as it doesn't rip upon application and does it's job constraining. The added thickness over the competition is a bonus.

I've used the butylene all over my car and house, now. I've left it in the hot sun on my dash for a weeks and it was impervious to the heat. It's versatile and it's properties don't seem to break down over time. I expected it to leave an oily film behind in some apps, but it hasn't. And it always comes back up clean if I need to reuse it.

I'm looking into getting this for my car, but wanted to find out if anybody on here has used it and how it compares to other sound dampeners. I tried using the search but it isn't working for me. Please only reply if you've actually used it or know firsthand about it.
