sound deadener alternatives

awesome! I went and bought it last night as well....got 1 roll and some foil tape. This stuff is awesome. Its no Second Skin, but if your cheap, broke, etc...I'd get this before anything else. I'd suggest using 2 layers tho. 1 layer on your trunk probably wont stop all rattles, but mute out some...

get a bunch of fat people to sit in the car and absorb rattles.
you see the pics of me on Kenny Pollocks car at the SPL show holding his trunk lid down or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

found a peel and seal type product at home depot. $100 for 225sq ft of it. comes in like a 3' wide roll. ice and snow sealer or whatever is the name. two or three layers of that would be just as good as second skin, its butyl based I believe.

really doesnt get cheaper than that for a butyl deadener, and their edead v1se is only only $1.28 sqft.

I did some searchin and came across this link in my adventures //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

doesn't matter if I'm doing my floor. and this isnt peel and seal brand, its different. no foil backing just straight up deadener. got some of the 9" by 50' version on my door panels double layered. hard as hell to peel off actually.

very nice, that is probably what I'll go with next time around. is it thick enough in 1 layer?
