sound deadener alternatives

ok so Edead v1 is $0.80 sqft. This other stuff is $13.68 a roll at 6"x25' so that is a total of 12.5sqft. If my math is correct that is $1.09 sqft.

So why are you not buying edead v1 again? or am i an idiot and my math is off?

remember that shipping on edead isnt cheap. i'm thinking about getting the roofing tar and doin my floor with it, thats like $7 bux a gallon and 2 sheets of the Thermwell insulation. That should be wayy better and cheaper than most pro deadener. Oh plus a febreexe and baking soda.

Duct tape, i tried a strip of it on my trunk and it killed that part of the rattle and vibration //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

the only rattle i had was by the key opener inside the trunk where you stick the key in to open the trunk, no more rattles or vibration so i put some duct tape around that area especially the metal since it resonating like crazy and it stopped, i'm still gonna sound deaden teh whole trunk later on as soon as i figure out what to use //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/ponder.gif.ec2527b23f1d287b60dcbba54f95edba.gif

x2...

Pretty good thread. My question is, if you already have peel and seal (I used to be a contractor) and I also have the ice shield (that is what that other heavier stuff is called), will it hurt to just put that on the floor? I plan to use "real" deadener for the doors, given how heat and cold can cause the adhesive to release...

So what have you guys used so far that has worked well? Im pretty broke but want to kill the rattle in my suv, maybe ill go to home depot and see what they have.
