That's simply not true. How often do we have eD amp bashing threads around here? I dont watch the amp boards, but on here most threads on eD amps end with praising the nine.1. The closest Ive ever come to knocking their amps is by suggesting that the only reason they have a successful amplifier line is because they dont make them themselves. For once, eD made a smart decision, keep themselves as far away from production of one of their products as possible. And it worked out for them. Kudo's to eD on that one. Now if we could just get them to phase themselves out completely.

Tis what it is holic. I really don't use their products, but I wouldn't rule them out. I almost bought the 9.1......almost.

Even thought about their deadner, but went with Secondskin, I know right!

Werd if you got the money and want the best, Second Skin is your best bet. But if you on a low budget, and want a cheaper alternative RAAMAT is your second best bet.

well back a little on topic

Like I said, I used the fatmat. I never had an issue with it at all myself. I put it in my accord more then 4 years ago and its still were I put it. even after pulling the panels off for the last two years. Its in direct sunlight and not doing anything. But I still think its thin and I don't want to do the multi layering crap this time. Just one good layer with some spay over top of it.

So you all think I should get the Spectrum spray over something like the edead v3 spray? edead is $30 cheaper shipped for me

I applied asphalt based mat of a couple different brands in a car I owned 12 years ago, that I still have access to today, and yes its all still stuck in place. Does that mean I recommend it to others? No.

And yes, Ive applied asphalt mat since way longer than 12 years ago, but that is the oldest install I still have access to. Here's the least expensive way to achieve your goal. Use a high quality CLD mat, 25% coverage at the center of resonating panels. Don't bother with liquids - they can be effective, but really require more coverage to work well and as a result are more expensive to use. Do not bother putting asphalt on top of butyl - it will not help performance in any way and just adds unnecessary reliability risks.

Line your floor, doors, trunk and quarter panels with a barrier. This is the most important thing you can do to reduce noise intrusion. Ideally you'll want a layer of foam between the substrate and the barrier. Lead makes an excellent barrier but mass loaded vinyl is less expensive and much easier to find.
