whats the best stuff to use to stop a trunk from rattling....I just got 3 12" subs put in and when you turn it up, the trunk wants to fly away

any recommendations? I know alot of guys use stuff you can get at your local hardware store....I didnt want to use that dyno*whatever* that mat shit is called....I think your just paying for the name

and keep in mind I have a whole trunk lid to do!

That dyno*whatever* works mate, of course your paying a little for the name but thats with everything.

There are cheaper alternatives to dynomat.

I bought 100sqft of Fatmat Sound Deadener off ebay for $150 but you wouldnt need that much for just a trunk. I did my doors, floor, back wall, and side pillars in my single cab silvy with just one roll of 50sqft. I wasn't conservative with it either.

$79.98....not too bad IMO

And with that you get 50sqft of Fatmat, a roller that you roll over the mat when youve installed it to make sure it has a good seal, the cleaner to clean the surface of where you want to stick it, and also a dynomat sample.

the guy i know who I bring all my stuff to, says he just starting selling this stuff where he can do my trunk for $20 for the material and $30 to put it in.....he said hes done about 9 cars so far and they dont make a noise at all after

I might have to just go that route

I seriously seriously doubt he can do your entire trunk for $20. Maybe just your trunk lid for $20, which is about all that Dynamat would cost you (for just enough to do your trunklid).
