I just installed a pair of eDi 6000's in some custom kicks connected to a Kicker kx250.2 which gives each side 85 watts a piece. The eDi's are 100 watts rms by the way.

WEll, at first the left tweeter would just cut off during high treble parts and after you turned it back down and turned it back up it would come back on. Not knowing if it was the tweeter, crossover, or amp i did some experimenting. I switched my speaker and tweeter's side and the left tweeter still cut out. So both my tweeters would cut out on that wire. So, that rules out the tweeter as the problem area.

I switched the left channel wires to the right channel of the amp and vice versa and then the right tweeter cut out. So now I know for sure it's either the left amp channel or left crossover.

Then I switch my crossovers and this is where it blew my mind. The left side still cut out but the right side did as well and one of my 6.5''s even cut out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif Thats when i threw the screwdriver down on the pavement and tried to calm my nerves.

I need some suggestions on the problem. I thought I could narrow down the problem but obviously not. I've checked my wires and they're all tight and correct. Please give me all your suggestions cuz I am purely baffled here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

No dimming. I don't think its a power issue because of it just cutting off a certain tweeter or woofer because if it was losing power it should probably make all the mids/tweeters fade and not individually.

ok...Im alittle too tired to try and follow your post, but I had a problem with my viper comps cutting out. after some playing around and investigating, it turns out one of the inductors on the crossover had a bad connection to the circuit board. it would cut out when there was alot of vibration.
