B ut mines an old claw basket mag and ive put a couple w7 setups to shame, adn the new version is so much better. I iwsh i had one. or jus had one to play with that lil bugger was a potent lil driver

seriously out of oall the choices given..all those subs destroys the 12w7 in low end

even my se12's kicks 12w7's azz in low end and i've done it....but if i had to pick 1 sub that will have more sq and has the ability to get louder i would choose either the tc sounds tc3k 12 or the soundsplinter rl-s12

I have no doubt yours does sound good , but you pretty much said a se, si, id etc would destroy a w7 low end... Thats pretty much saying that in any setup anyone of those would destroy a w7... Not true at all. Infact , i bet ur one of the few whose se's do hit lower and louder than a w7, its all enclosure bla bla bla, but w7 is much more capable of hittin 20-30 hz than almost anything in the same size class out there, try tuning a 13w7 to 26 hz witth about 2-3000 rms.. Tell me how it "hits " the lows

eclosure is everything..and i can tell u that the 12w7 will probably have more output than most subs..but i actually had my setup gp against my friends setup who has 2 12w7's in a 4th order bandpass and his car sounds like a highpowered midbass..and my car was killin him in the low end...

but as far as a 13w7 tuned to 26hz and recieving 2-3kwatts

been there done that..and guess what happens.....tinsel lead slap...it hit the lows but it was moving so much the tinsel leads was slappin the back of the cone and u can hear it

they'll all sound great, but no sub can beat a w7 its fact....
on a more serious note, all the subs that you've mentioned are capable of sounding very very good aswell getting very loud. i personally love my brahma, however i have never heard a w7 that was worthy of my oppinion(all have been in half *** installs) from what ive heard though, my brahma hands down beats the w7 in SQ aswell as many other setups, gets deafeningly loud too(if thats even a word)

i've heard many great things about the mag aswell, my vote would go for either the brahma or the mag. but im sure there all capable of doing well.

what is your box tuned too and how many watts is it seeing?

right now its in 1.7@27Hz. going to be putting it in 2.6@25Hz later this week. low tuned boxes FTW nice flat response with insane lowend

Interesting last year at a show down at ransom i heard a kids 13w7 in a talon as well .7 ohm off a 2500d.. No problems, especially on burps above 35 hz.. I can easily see with how loose the suspension is on them that they would easily bottom out in the wrong enclosure ..
