There really aren't that many subs out there.
It has been posted once and it'll be posted again.Yes there are subs that are louder, yes there are subs that sound better (remember sq is subjective), but try finding a single sub to do both with the power it takes to move a W7. But it is VERY INSTALL DEPENDENT! I can not express that enough.

So just go out and ****ing buy whatever puts a smile on your ****ing face.

You husy rag on the JL fanboys, but what you don't realize is you're just as bad with your "RE, SI, Adire, AA" occults.

JL makes some nice drivers. They W7 series was great when they first came out. There weren't many subs out there that were better at that time. And the W6 series subs sound great IMO.

But would you care to explain how you can get a new W7 cheaper than a new mag? I will even let you compare a 13W7 to a mag 15. The mag 15's I sell for $475 shipped.

If you just happen to have a friend who is a dealer for JL, that is great. But when comparing sub prices it makes no sense at all to compare the price you get from your friend, to the price another sub sells for to normal customers.

ssx and a 9.0. it is a way more suitable daily setup that is SQL oriented. if you dont know when enough is enough, you will kill a w7 with a 9.0

yea, i might blow one, i used to have two 13w7s ported. i know what they are capable of. a 9.0 will kill it if you dont know when to back off.

At this point, I can get a 12" W7 BNIB from an authorized dealer, w/ warranty cheaper than I can get a mag. under the same conditions.

You must be getting the w7 at dealer cost. MSRP of the SI Mag includes the warranty and they sell at the dealer for less than MSRP. My local J Ldealer wants 600 w/o warranty and 650 w/ and they have to install it for it to have a warranty which means you have to pay for the installation.

MSRP on a SI Mag is $519... MSRP on a w7 12 is $849

Stereo Integrity's delaers arent goingto discount the mag as much as JL dealers will discount the w7 but the SI Mag is still cheaper...unless you ARE the dealer.

LMFAO!!!! Thanks, I needed a good laugh. It has been shown TIME AND TIME AGAIN that while JL is indeed an excellent brand, they are overpriced to hell and back. So I will buy whatever the @#$% I want...but I will have a big #$%^&*% smile on my face knowing I paid a fraction of the price others have while obtaining equal, if not greater, results.
