Sorry had to post this update on ED

Steel shortage is a viable excuse. However, eD always seems to have an excuse. Anyone remember the excuse for the Nine.1? That was the best. Those **** Koreans.

im still waiting a year later for my halo 2 game.....im not whining like a little ***** about it, ive called a couple times and NICELY ASKED what was going on.

Xbox didn't say there is a shortage on plastic to make halo2. Halo2 is supposed to be released on November 9, 2004. They also aren't slowly shifting the shipping date into the future, they set it to Nov. 9, 2004 rather than tell you that it will be available in 2 weeks then 1 month then 1.5 months then 2 months. Xbox gave sneak peeks in 2003, but they said they would release it when they felt the right time was. They didn't say place your preorders in 2003. They gave a preview to make people excited about it.

Then how come the other buildhouses and companies didn't complain about a steel shortage/shut down/delay products?
I'm not jumping onto either side here ...

Read through the whole thing.

And don't talk until you've read the whole thing.

screw reading 16 pages of some stupid crap i don't believe. i believe eD is doing what they need to do to make quality products, hell they could just say the sub had a different motor....but they are doing what they should and making quality products, i've read the majority of that thread, as it was happening, i believe its where the owner of eD stated he told a customer how he felt in a nice way for the business world. i will buy eD next probably.

i ordered my eD and i don't really care how long it gets here (as long as its within 2 months //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ) i just want that thing to be bangin! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif looks pretty awesome in that excursion video on their site

i also spoke w/ a technician about the preproduction sale which appears to still be on, and he said the page is currently being updated (they are really slow about that). sale officially ended on the 15th.

Ha, that's all we need. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
Think before you speak.

whats that supposed to mean? that thread was bashing eD atleast i believe the first few posts were. Unless it's a different post. I believe eD is a good company and is ran correctly. people should realize ITS A FRIGGIN PREORDER SALE!

If you read it, it wasn't bashing eD. Ben blew up. Dunno about most people, but I wouldn't buy from a company that is owned by a person with his type of attitude.

The steel shortage is real. The company I work with builds machinery, its hurt them. Look at raw steel prices, its gone up. Well, its on its way back down now, but 2-3 months ago it was at an all-time high.

With that being said, did the company I work with just stop shipping product? No, they are paying a bit more for it right now, and still putting the machines out the door with a loss of profit on all the outstanding orders, and charging 10% more for new orders. If eD's suppliers 'cant' ship due to the steel shortage, its not due to availability (or lack there of), its from an unwillingness to pay more for their raw materials to meet a contract they signed previously.

Christ if there was a country wide steel shortage, it would be HEADLINES!!!
heh, all is well, no need to be alarmed, baa baa...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

ever checked the price of MDF lately? Or any wood construction product? Wonder why a 4x8 sheet of plywood has skyrocketed in price over the last few years? Tariffs on old-growth and CCA stuff coming in from Canada, and heavy exports to China to support their booming building industry...but do you see that in anything other than maybe issues of the Journal of Light Construction and Fine Homebuilding? People can be really blind when they want to be, it seems...

If there is a steel shortage, I could see that. If there isn't, I don't really care either. #1 - I run eD subs. #2 - when it came time to upgrade, I added another e12a.22 instead of getting on the preorder list. FWIW.

I've got a friend in the wood business importing from Eastern Europe and Russia, and he deals with this shit all the time...funny shit happens when you start buying baltic birch ply by the 40 foot container //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
