Alright guys I am looking at either 1 JL 10w1v.2 or a RE RE 10". I have never owned a JL before and am thinking it would be a good choice to match my amp. I am gonna run either sub with an old school us amps 50a. I want a small box cause I don't want to take up trunk space in my new car. Which one will sound better and get louder. I just want a little low end seeing as how this will be a little more SQ oriented system.

Well I think it is 50x2 at 4ohm 70x2 at 2ohm so roughly 150~175 watts bridged at 4ohm mono and don't have a clue about 2ohm mono.

If it isn't stable below 2ohm/channel, then it probably isn't 2ohm mono stable. Which would make the RE series a very poor choice for that amp anyways since they are dual 4ohm subs.

So, yeah, JL w1v2 all the way IMHO.

It is 1ohm stereo stable so 2 ohm mono. I just don't know the power rating.

Okay I bought the above setup and am pleased. What should I cross this over at? I am thinking about 50hz. What do you guys think. I am running it off an old school us amp 50a. It sounds good I may get a little more power if I don't like it.
