I figured the ebay store I bought my Type R 12s from, seeing as though I received no email from them yet, that they'd be slow as hell to ship. Turns out they're in Brooklyn on their way here tomorrow... I didn't expect this, hell the box is still in 4x8 foot form outside on the rear patio! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Anyway, I've got enough to do with college starting up tomorrow and whatnot, let alone get my car audio hobby rolling again. Would 4 gauge wire suffice for 1,100 RMS? I couldn't remember where the gauge versus power load cutoff was... I was planning on getting a load of 0 gauge, like 30 foot, and splitting up that 30 foot worth of wire between power wire, ground, and enough left over for the big 3.

Would 4 gauge be okay? Or is that pushing it...

4 guage should be fine. I had my Memphis 1000d (1100rms) run with 4 guage Memphis wire and had no problems. On the back of the wire kit package it said it would work with the 1000d.

erm i think its best to run 0 gauge because you WILL need room to upgrade later on. and theres no harm in running larger wire than needed ya know. I regret running 0 gauge for my car and now i have to pay to run it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Thanks for the replies, but new question.

I just tracked my order on fedex and something confused me.

It said the following:

Purchase order number

2 SWR-1242D (require signature

Service type

Home Delivery-Signature Delivery

Pieces

1

Weight

51.0 lbs.

Now, sure it says 2 SWR-1242D, but why would it say "pieces: 1." Kind of confused me...

I am getting 2 woofers, right? :/

The pictures on the auction looked like 1 woofer per box... that's why I figured it would be two pieces.

It's 2 subs each in it's own original box packed in one big box. That is why it's 1 piece and weight 51lbs. I know, i just got mine......
I don't know why I didn't notice the 51 pounds. Geez, imagine a pair of Type R's weighing in at 51 lbs a piece? Dizzamn.
