Soooo electrical. What battery?? eh eh?

no such thing as overkill if your electrical is not up to par.

get the biggest and best you can afford and get a HO alternator. almost 3k is a lot for stock electrical

My experience with XS power:

My D3100 has done me right. I had a slow electrical parasite and it was down to less than 6v when my car was in the shop for a month. Started my car with a boost pack and charged it back up. Sometimes my alternator charges a little over 15v and I haven't had any problems. I've got an XS charger now, and am trying to make the battery last as long as possible.

They are expensive. If space for batteries or weight is your main concern, I'd go with XS power. Also, you see them in the competition lanes for a reason.

If you want the most bang for your buck, there are Duracell group 31's at Sam's Club for $180 each. There's somebody on here who runs them, but I forget who.

A high output alternator is a must. You've got to charge the extra load if you get a battery bank.

xs is good.

and like stated, find a good high output alt.

you need to MAKE POWER ( a h/o alt ) to charge any battery/s".

but for your system i would do a good h/o alt and 1 good amg under hood battery.

What kinda Amperage will i need?
and who makes good Alts?
I'd get a 220-250 amp alt for that setup. If you plan on upgrading in the future, get the biggest your case can fit. Personally, I saved up and bought the biggest one I could. Now I've gotta add at least one more when I go bigger :/

Mylows10 is a rep for Singer, and he is very helpful. Easily the best customer service I have received. This is worth Singer's extra price to me. Also, they have a lifetime labor warranty.

Mechman, Js, excessive amperage, ect. also make alternators.

Just get the biggest you can afford because eventually you will want to be louder. Hit up mylows10 for singer alts i loved mine. Theres DC, Mechman, iraggi, js ultimate alts (facebook company)

have a new install running stock HU PDX-F4 and two MRV-500....I'm still breaking them in and havent touched any gains and I'm finding the typical story lights starting to dim with volume at around 30 of 60. Not much thumping in my opinion for them to start going but did have the install profesionally done and would assume grounding and wiring is up to par considering I saw the wire gauge at least. What I didnt consider at the time was a Cap due to all the buzz of power cells vs caps etc. I started researching hi performance alternators and optima batteries. I feel though with just a 4 channel amp pdx-f4 100 rms and two mrv-500 rms amps pushing the subs i wouldnt draw that much current for a 1400 watt system off a new 2014 camry. I guess I am wrong. My first real system upgrade in a real car and I think I still have a ways to go. Any opinions or suggestions will help.

So whats your question? Also. i get that its slightly related but dont threadjack.

ITs fine for now. Ill help you out.

From everyone else. Since alot of you are really active on here. Ive just got a regular 100$ walmart battery in it as of now. When i get an AGM battery. Should i put it in the back and wire the two together or just throw out the Battery i have now and just use the AGM.

Cuz of parasitic drain and the like.
