What songs did you used to listen to in your systems "back in the day"......late 80's early 90's

You know, the ones that really made your sub hit hard......even though I was more of a metal head, I listened to some of the following:

Techmaster PEB: just about all of it

McCade: How Much Can You Take probably THE most memorable song, I remember one of the first big systems I ever heard was playing this

Too Short: The Ghetto

Sir Mix Alot: Baby's Got Back

There are many others but these are probably the most memorable to me.

Honestly, I'd like to know what all I missed out on. Access to a variety of music didn't exist back then like it does now.

The KLF, they were WAY ahead of their time.

MC Breed - Aint no Future in yo frontn'

Eightball and MJG (commn' out hard is what we rolled to)

Too Short - The Ghetto

House of Pain JUMP JUMP JUMP! lol...

admittedly faggy shit I listened to :

OMD

Tears for Fears

Pet shop boys

I remember Bass Wars and The Bass that Ate Miami being popular. Oddly, by today's standards, they should have titled those "The Midbass wars" and "The Midbass that Ate Miami". //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

As for Too $hort, I liked Freaky Tales off of Born to Mack better than In the Ghetto. Also, as much as it pains me to type this, I also blasted my share of The 2 Live Crew back in the good old days... Get it Girl and Throw the D from their first release then later on S & M and HBC from their second release... Heck, just last week I was listening to Eazy E's Eazy Duz It for nostalgia purposes.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Man everybody love them back in the day.

Honestly though during those times I was loving the Hair Bands. You know the ones, but who didnt? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Motley Crue -

Shout at the Devil

Looks That Kill

Home Sweet Home

Wild Side

Girls,Girls,Girls

Dr. Feelgood

Don't Go Away Mad

Kickstart My Heart

Same Ol' Situation

ok any Crue song, I can go on for days

Pretty Hate Machine by Nine Inch Nails was another favorite from that time frame. Somewhere along the way, I started helping out friends who DJed as well as DJing myself and I could no longer stand popular music of any genre. I guess hearing the top 25 from every Billboard chart multiple times during the week would be enough to kill anyone's interest in popular music.
