Ive got a Porsche 924 (Bosch, not sure of oiriginal amps) alternator I want re wound for 150+ amps... is it possible to have this done?
Who?Any shop that says they rewind alts...

Call automotive electrical shops in your area and start asking questions.

You may be stuck looking for a HO alt.
ygpm. very useful info i got from tyrefyreNow that I know it can be done... I'll be able to find someplace. I have three total alts for my car, each one has a different design (same mounting tabs/bolts), I'll just have to find out which one will work the best.

is that place in ohio, and how much did it cost you?here is a number to call and ask 1-419-636-3108. they did a alt for me i had a 110amp alt and it is now a 200amp but i have a grand prix
